Dr Hanna Child is a General Paediatrician with a special interest in acute paediatric and neonatal medicine, paediatric complex care and the assessment and management of developmental and behavioural concerns.
Hanna gained her medical degree from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2012 and completed her paediatric basic training at Starship Hospital in Auckland. Hanna moved to Sydney in 2019 where she completed her specialist paediatric training in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. In 2023 Hanna undertook clinical fellowship training in General Paediatrics at Northern Beaches Hospital.
Hanna enjoys working with children from birth through to adolescence. She has expertise managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical issues, growth and development. She has worked in a variety of Paediatric areas including General Paediatrics, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine and Paediatric rural medicine. She has also completed two years as a Neonatal Fellow in tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Units across NSW and QLD including the stabilisation and transport of sick newborns from remote/regional hospitals to tertiary neonatal intensive care.

Dr Elke Pitters obtained her medical degree in Germany at the Christian Albrecht University Kiel in 2005 and that’s when she migrated to Sydney. Elke completed her Internship at the Base Hospital in Burnie, TAS and was a resident medical officer at Southern Health, VIC before returning to Sydney in 2011.
Elke trained as a Paediatrician at the Children’s Hospital Westmead from 2012-2021 and completed her training as a provisional fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2022 when she gained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College for Physician. Dr Natasha Diller is a Consultant General Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She completed Specialist training in General Paediatrics in Germany and Australia at the Charité Universitary Medicine Berlin and Sydney Children’s Hospital Network in 2009 and was awarded her Australian Specialist Training in General Paediatrics in 2019. She undertook further clinical fellowship training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, The Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne, Westmead Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Canterbury Hospital.
Dr Diller is currently also training in Neonatal Medicine and has almost completed her second specialty training. Her special interests include general paediatrics, neonatal medicine and developmental paediatrics. She is a member of the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand (PSANZ) and the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Society of Australasia (NBPSA).

She has vast experience in providing high quality care to children requiring multidisciplinary services.
Dr Jonas works with the Northern Beaches Hospital (Frenchs Forest), the Sleep Cottage (Miranda) and Darwin Respiratory and Sleep Health. She organises home-based oximetry and lab-based overnight sleep studies for children aged 0-17 years.
As a Conjoint Lecturer with UNSW, Dr Jonas had been integral to the education and training of the undergraduate medical students. She is also involved in conducting CME programs for general practitioners and allied health staff. BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Jonathan is a paediatric surgeon and Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. His appointments are at the Northern Beaches Hospital , The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Following a period training in thoracic surgery he undertook both his adult and paediatric surgical fellowships, completing this in 2006, which was followed by the completion of his PhD.
He is a a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is heavily involved in the activities of the college. He is passionate about teaching, education and research. He is the immediate past chairperson and still serves on the for the Board of Paediatric surgery, which supervises paediatric surgical training across both Australia and New Zealand.
He is a Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and regularly tutors undergraduate and postgraduate students towards higher degrees. He has served and currently serves on a number of committees including the, Sydney Children’s Network Human Research Ethics committee , The Section of Academic Surgery (Deputy Chairperson) and runs The Developing a Career in Academic Surgery Course.
He is group lead for a basic science research laboratory looking at paediatric cancer. Other research interests are long term follow up in thoracic conditions of childhood, tissue oxygen monitoring in paediatric patients and randomized trials in childhood surgical conditions. These have led to over 70 publications and 20 textbook chapters.

Dr Fletcher enjoys partnering with families and health professionals to provide thorough and comprehensive care to patients. She has a caring and empathetic approach to patient care and cares for patients with acute or chronic complex medical conditions. Dr Fletcher is a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australia (NBPSA).
Dr Fletcher is also passionate about teaching future doctors and paediatricians and in addition to being an Advance Paediatric Life Support Instructor, she is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians paediatric clinic exams.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Dr Chaudry is a UK trained Specialist in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. Before moving to Sydney in 2015 with her growing family, she was working as a full time Consultant at the Royal London Hospital where she also covered Acute General Paediatrics, managing admissions from the Emergency Department and outpatient referrals. Her responsibilities also included running the Obesity service and serving as Clinical Lead for Sleep Medicine. Her Doctorate (MD) was attained from Imperial College London following three years of original research into “Cardiopulmonary function in children with Sickle Cell Disease”.
Since arriving in Sydney, Rifat has worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital in the Respiratory departments. Dr Chaudry has 18 years’ experience in tertiary and quaternary Respiratory medicine, having completed training in Glasgow and across London at leading children’s specialist hospitals: Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, Royal Brompton Hospital in London (The National Heart and Lung institute) and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.
Dr Chaudry's formal Sleep training started in 2009 when she was selected to join the National Grid Training programme in PRSM, based in London. During this 3 year apprenticeship she had access to leading sleep laboratory facilities and specialist mentors across tertiary and quaternary centres in London: Great Ormond Street Children’s’ Hospital (GOSH), The Royal Brompton Hospital (The National Heart and Lung Institute) and The Royal London Hospital. She went on to receive the Consultant nominated award for “Outstanding Fellow in Cardio-Respiratory medicine” at GOSH in 2013 after a year of work across Intensive Care and inpatient PRSM. Whilst working exclusively as a Sleep Fellow at GOSH in 2013, Dr Chaudry attended a niche course at Stanford University Teaching Hospital to further solidify her sleep knowledge. The course was run by Professors William Dement and Christian Guilleminault, known as the forefathers of modern Sleep Medicine.
Dr Chaudry is the Clinical Director of the Paediatric Sleep service at Northern Beaches Hospital. Children will require a GP referral for an initial assessment with Dr Chaudry prior to a diagnostic Sleep Study. For more information please contact the practice.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Dr Guy Henry is a specialist Paediatric Surgeon who has been practicing in Sydney for over 22 years. He is based at Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick, and also consults and operates on the Northern Beaches and the Sutherland Shire.
Raised in Sydney, Dr Henry did his undergraduate degree at the University of NSW and trained at a number of hospitals including Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Alexandria Hospital for Children Camperdown, New Children's Hospital Westmead and Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. He obtained his general (adult) surgical fellowship in 1994. He undertook a Paediatric Trauma Fellowship at Children's National Medical Center, Washington DC and obtained his Paediatric Surgical Fellowship in 1997.
Dr Henry is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is heavily involved in the activities of the college having served on the NSW State Committee for 8 years. BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Dr Stone did her speciality training in general paediatrics in a number of clinical settings including Sydney Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Royal Darwin Hospital and the adolescent unit at Westmead Hospital.
She completed her training in Paediatric Endocrinology at Sydney Children’s Hospital under the supervision of Dr Charles Verge. During this period, she completed a Doctor of Medicine, the topic of her thesis was insulin resistance in type 1 diabetes.
Dr Stone worked as a consultant at RNSH between 2005 and 2009. She then went to Darwin where she worked both in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology.
Since returning to Sydney in 2012 she has been working in private practice and for the government at Therapeutic Goods Administration where she heads the clinical unit which evaluates medicines used in endocrinology, diabetes, fertility, gynaecology and other areas.
Dr Stone provides a consultative service in paediatric diabetes and endocrinology at Northern Beaches Hospital. She has had broad training and experiences in the management of a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses and enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary partnership with families, general practitioners, allied health professionals and educators to help children reach their full potential.

REFERRALS:
Dr Stone takes referrals from GPs, paediatricians, and adult endocrinologists. It is preferable that referrals are faxed before appointments to ensure they are appropriate and that all of the relevant information is available at the time of appointment. Patients with complex problems such as obesity, diabetes, and chronic endocrine disorders would benefit from a GP chronic and complex disease a management plan to enable access to dietician, psychologist ect.

Dr Rob Slade is a Consultant Paediatrician with special interests in seizure disorders, sleep medicine and neonatal medicine. Dr Slade currently works at Northern Beaches Hospital as Head of Department for Paediatrics and Neonates.
Dr Slade completed his specialist training within the Sydney Children's Hospital Network in 2009. He was appointed as a Paediatric Staff Specialist for Mona Vale and Manly Hospital in 2010 and worked there for 8 years prior to commencing his current role at the Northern Beaches Hospital.

Dr Jean Lim is a General Paediatrician who cares for children from newborns to adolescents. She sees patients with acute and chronic conditions, including children with developmental and behavioural concerns. She has a compassionate, holistic, child and family-based approach to paediatric health care.
Dr Lim studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, graduating with distinction. She completed her specialist paediatric training in Sydney at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, where she was honoured to receive an Excellence Award and then completed her paediatric fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital. In 2016 she moved to the Northern Beaches as a Consultant Paediatrician at Mona Vale and Manly Hospitals.
Dr Lim is currently the Paediatric medical lead for the Paediatric Hospital in the Northern Sydney Local Health District working with a dedicated team to ensure children are cared for as close to home as possible. She also maintains an active role in teaching junior doctors and medical students.
Outside of work Jean enjoys volunteer missions in Australia, India and Zambia, and loves spending time with her young family at the beach.
Jean is fluent in English and conversational Mandarin.

Dr Lynette Khoury is a Paediatrician with extensive clinical experience, treating children of all ages from newborns to adolescents.
Dr Khoury completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney and based her training in Paediatrics at Westmead Children’s Hospital. She gained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Paediatrics in 2012 and commenced work as a Specialist Paediatrician at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in rural locum services. She moved her practice to the Northern Beaches in 2016 and worked as a Paediatrician at Mona Vale Hospital before moving to the Northern Beaches Hospital.
Dr Khoury has an interest in managing childhood food allergies and completed the Graduate Certificate of Allergic Diseases (UWS) in 2015. She is a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA).
Dr Khoury is also interested in behavioural paediatrics and is a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia (NBPSA).

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Dr Justin Needs is a general paediatrician. Services provided include inpatient and outpatient medical care for children and neonates. He has an appointment to The Northern Beaches Hospital as part of the Department of Paediatrics and has consulting rooms at Northern Beaches Hospital and Lane Cove.
Dr Needs attended The University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours including a research year studying the effects of pain relief in labour on infant feeding. He then completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and went on to postgraduate clinical training at Westmead Hospital, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospital and attained his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatrics and Child Health in 2010.
During his training Dr Needs was keenly involved in clinical teaching and was a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. He was awarded for his contributions to teaching, as voted by the students, and has also lectured for The Diploma of Child Health and College of Physicians examination candidates.
Following his fellowship, Dr Needs was appointed as a Staff Specialist at Northern Sydney Intellectual Disability Health multidisciplinary clinic in Cremorne and as a Visiting Medical Officer at Mona Vale, Manly and Ryde Hospitals. Dr Needs continued to work at Mona Vale Hospital and in the Northern Beaches community for seven years leading up to his appointment at Northern Beaches Hospital. He completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Sydney in 2017. He continues to teach medical students and physician trainees.
